Creating Meaningful Value

To date, our team has hosted three leadership symposiums in partnership with top academic and financial institutions. The first symposium in 2015 drew nearly 200 attendants convening to discuss leadership, integrity, and ethics.

Support from partners and students grew and in 2017, the third symposium attracted nearly 300 attendees, including 60 executives invested in impacting the lives and aspirations of future finance students.

The team is currently developing a mentorship program and leadership development curriculum to add additional value for the students we serve.

How It All Began

Scholars of Finance is a growing community and movement developed by students, for students and our future.

The founders of Scholars of Finance met during a Market Technicians Association meeting at Piper Jaffray in August, 2014. During a discussion about helping finance students succeed that asked themselves, "what if our schools got together and had an event to invest in the students and raise the profile of the finance community of the Twin Cities?" Together they built a team to execute the first symposium, taking their first step toward a broader vision of impact on the finance sector.

The Future of Scholars of Finance

We're excited to share developments of our Mission and Vision with you at the 2017 Symposium. We are in the process of creating a non-profit, the Scholars of Finance, and plan to expand our reach to new markets and build a mentorship program, membership network, leadership training, and more in 2018. We've grown to 19 members already and would love to have you join us. Click below to get involved!
